The Intensive Outpatient Program condenses 6 months of therapy into 2 weeks to give you the tools you need to manage your mental wellness and improve your quality of life. We offer two separate tracks of treatment in the IOP — combat trauma and military sexual trauma. Both tracks are mixed-gender and open to veterans and active duty service members.

In-person care at the Road Home Program consists of weekly therapy sessions. Treatment focuses on immediate symptom reduction of PTSD and depression and long-term improvement in your quality of life. Length of treatment varies, but veterans leave with the tools needed to move forward and build healthy, productive relationships and lives.

Virtual care at the Road Home Program consists of weekly video visits. Treatment focuses on immediate symptom reduction of PTSD and depression, long-term mental health wellness and permanent lifestyle changes for veterans, active duty service members and their families. Length of treatment varies, but you leave with the tools needed to move forward and build healthy, productive relationships and lives. Video Visits are available to Illinois residents only.

The support and encouragement of fellow veterans help you realize you are not alone. Participants share practical tips and successful strategies for dealing with common problems related to re-integration and more. Hosted by Mark Schimmelpfennig (Chaps), Chaplain of the Road Home Program, our group meets online every other Wednesday from 1800 to 1930. Registration is required.
